We would like to acknowledge the tremendous generosity and assistance our local community has given Women's Refuge Whanganui to support the lives of families and whānau impacted by family violence and homelessness.
Every donation you make goes a long way to making a big difference to the lives of these vulnerable people who we work with.
As well as the many individuals, we receive donations from local and national business, funding organisations and nationwide not-for profits who consistently support the work we do.

Ways you can make a donation or support us
Monetary Donations
Monetary donations can be made online through Give A Little or you can request our bank account number and pay by direct bank payment. We can also accept cash donations at the office.
As a registered charity CC36715 - Women's Refuge Charitable Trust Board, if requested we are able offer a receipt for charitable donation tax credits.
Toiletries and overnight cares
We are always needing basic cares items to gift women and their families who don't have or were unable to bring with them hygiene, sanitation supplies, and basic clothing items.
Donations of the following items would be gratefully received:
Deodorant
Shampoo and Conditioner
Hand and body wash/soap
Towels/ flannels
Tampons
Hand and body lotion.
Pajamas, socks and underwear
Cheap or second hand cell phones
If you are able to donate any of these items, or a bag to carry them in, this would be most appreciated.
Household items
Please note that Women's Refuge Whanganui no longer takes in donations of used clothing, linen, babywear, toys and other miscellaneous items. If you have brand new items you are wishing to donate, please feel to contact us first. We are often in need of new towels, linen and kitchen items/ utensils.
